Earn 10% commission on every subscription you refer.
Every FuturePost account gets a unique referral link. When someone you refer subscribes to a paid plan, you earn 10% commission on every payment they make for the first 12 months.
Where to find your referral link
Open Settings โ Affiliate in your dashboard. Your unique link is at the top of the panel. Copy it and share it anywhere: on ๐, in a blog post, in a newsletter, in your bio. Anyone who signs up through that link is tracked as your referral for the next 30 days of cookie life.
How much you earn
- A referred Starter user pays $6/mo. You earn $0.60/mo for 12 months ($7.20 total).
- A referred Pro user pays $12/mo. You earn $1.20/mo for 12 months ($14.40 total).
- A referred Team user pays $24/mo. You earn $2.40/mo for 12 months ($28.80 total).
- If they upgrade mid-year, your commission scales with them.
Commissions accrue monthly as your referrals are billed. Refunds reverse the corresponding commission.
Tracking referrals
The Affiliate panel in Settings shows:
- Total clicks on your link
- Sign-ups attributed to you
- Paid conversions and which plan they're on
- Accrued commission, pending and paid-out
Getting paid
Payouts are processed monthly for any balance over $25. We pay via Stripe Connect (bank transfer in most countries). Add your payout details under Settings โ Affiliate โ Payout method.
Rules
- You can refer anyone except yourself. Self-referrals are blocked.
- Referrals must use a different ๐ account than yours and a different payment method.
- We don't pay on chargebacks or refunded charges. Commission for those months is reversed.
- Don't use misleading promotion or spam to acquire referrals. We reserve the right to void commissions from accounts that do.
Why 12 months and not lifetime?
We picked a 12-month window because it lets us pay generously upfront (10% is on the high side for SaaS) while keeping unit economics sane. Most affiliate programs in this space pay either lower percentages lifetime or higher percentages for shorter windows.
Promoting tips
The referrals that convert best are usually warm: a creator you know, a newsletter audience, a recommendation in your bio. Cold posts and link spam rarely convert and risk getting accounts flagged on ๐.
