Auto-retweet & auto-plug

Boost your posts automatically after they go live.

Auto-retweet and auto-plug let you boost a post automatically after it goes live. Both are configured per-post in the composer.

These features require Pro or Team. On Starter, the toggles are visible but disabled.

Auto-retweet

A timed self-retweet that runs at a delay after the original post. Useful for getting a second look at high-effort threads or posts that were missed during a slow timeline window.

  • Enable in the composer or set a team default in Settings โ†’ Automation.
  • Delay defaults to 4 hours; configurable per post.
  • If the original post is deleted before the retweet fires, the retweet is skipped.

Auto-plug

A scheduled reply to your own post containing a custom message, most commonly used to plug a link, product, or related thread.

  • Enable in the composer or as a team default.
  • Set a custom message, usually with a link or call to action.
  • Delay defaults to 4 hours; configurable per post.
Each auto-retweet and auto-plug is its own action on ๐•, but it doesn't cost a credit on our side. Use them generously.

Team defaults

Under Settings โ†’ Teams โ†’ Automation, you can flip on a team-wide default for auto-retweet and auto-plug. Every new post created in that team inherits the default, which you can override per-post.

How they show up after a post is live

When a post publishes, we queue the retweet/plug job with your chosen delay. They run on our background workers; nothing in the composer needs to stay open.

If you delete the original post on ๐• before the delayed action fires, the action is skipped automatically (the worker re-checks the post before running).
