Scheduled automations

Rotate evergreen drafts on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule.

Scheduled automations rotate through a pool of drafts on a recurring schedule, daily, weekly, or monthly. Use them for evergreen content you want to keep cycling without manually scheduling each one.

How it works

  1. Pick a set of drafts to rotate through.
  2. Choose a frequency (daily, weekly, or monthly).
  3. Pick a time of day.
  4. For weekly: pick which days of the week. For monthly: pick the day of the month.

On each scheduled run, FuturePost picks the next draft in the rotation (cycling back to the first when it reaches the end) and publishes it.

Creating an automation

  1. Open Automations from the sidebar.
  2. Click New automation.
  3. Give it a name, pick the connected ๐• account, set the schedule.
  4. Add the drafts you want to rotate through.
  5. Save and enable.
Drafts used in an automation aren't consumed, they stay in your library. Each run creates a fresh scheduled post from the draft's content.

Credits

Each automation run consumes credits the same way a normal scheduled post does, 1 credit per regular post, 15 credits if it contains a link. Plan ahead: a daily automation that rotates link posts will burn 15 credits a day.

Pausing or editing

Toggle an automation off in the list view to pause it. Edit the rotation anytime, adding or removing drafts takes effect on the next run.
