How long will it take to unfollow?
X caps how much you can do in a day, and punishes going quickly inside it. Put in how many accounts you want gone and this gives you the real answer, using the same pacing our extension enforces.
Unfollowing 1,200 accounts safely takes about 3 days. X does not publish its limits, but a free account is widely reported to allow around 400 actions a day, counting follows and unfollows together, so the work is capped by the day rather than by how fast the tool can click.
That is 3 full days of 400. You do not have to sit and watch it.
Where the time goes. 5 to 12 seconds between each unfollow, randomised, plus a 5 to 8 minute pause after every 45. The pauses are what keep you under X's short-window rate limit, which is what actually blocks accounts.
Why it is not instant
Every tool that offers to clear thousands of accounts in an hour is making the same trade without telling you: it spends your account's standing to hit a number. X watches the rate of actions far more closely than the total, and a burst of hundreds of identical actions is the clearest possible signal that something other than a person is clicking.
The result is a temporary write block: no following, no unfollowing, sometimes no posting, for hours or days. Then you still have the same list to clear, from a worse position.
Spreading it out is not a limitation of the tool. It is the actual constraint, and any honest tool will show you it.

How many people can you unfollow on X per day?
Around 400 actions a day on a standard account, counting follows and unfollows together, and higher on a subscribed account. X does not publish exact figures and changes them, so staying comfortably underneath is safer than aiming at the number.
Why does unfollowing have to be slow?
X's automation detection watches the rate more than the total. Hundreds of actions at even intervals in a few minutes looks like a script and gets the account write-blocked, while the same number spread over a day with randomised gaps does not.
What happens if I go over the limit?
Usually a temporary write block: following and unfollowing stop working for some hours or a few days while the rest of the account keeps working. Repeatedly triggering it is what escalates into something more serious.
Is this calculator accurate?
