Futurepost vs Typefully for writing and scheduling on X

Typefully caps its free plan at ten posts a month and bills its entry tier yearly. We are $6 a month, monthly. What else separates them, and when theirs is the better buy.

Typefully's free plan stops at ten posts a month and will not schedule them. Its first paid tier, Creator, has no month-to-month option, so the entry point is a year paid up front.

Futurepost is $6 a month, month to month, with no posting cap on the paid plans. Both tools write threads well; the differences are the commitment and whether anything is done about who you follow.

Two things to know before comparing on price: the free plan stops at 10 posts a month and will not schedule, and Creator has no month-to-month option at all, so the entry point is a year paid up front.

The half Typefully does not touch

It is a writing tool. There is nothing for the account you are writing to: no way to see which of the people you follow have stopped posting, no bulk unfollow, no follower cleanup.

If your following list has drifted to four thousand accounts and most of your timeline is dead, Typefully will help you write into that timeline and nothing else. Posting well and having an audience worth posting to are the same job, and we ship both halves.

What Typefully does better

The composer. If your work is long threads and the editor is where the hours go, theirs is built around exactly that, and being narrower is a real advantage: nothing else on screen, no follow graph section to ignore.

If that is you and price is not deciding it, take them. Otherwise the sums are hard to argue with.

Which to pick

Typefully if writing threads is the entire job and committing to a year up front is fine.

Futurepost if you want scheduling from $6, or you also want to do something about who you follow, or other people work on the same account.
