How to see everyone you follow on X
The short answer
Open your profile and click Following. The list is ordered newest first, with no search, no sort and no filter, so past a few hundred accounts it becomes difficult to work with. Seeing it by last post date, follower count or mutual status needs a tool that reads the list and adds those columns.

Open your profile.
Your avatar in the sidebar on web, or Profile in the mobile menu.

Click Following, beside your follower count.
Newest follows at the top, oldest thousands of scrolls down.

Scroll to load more.
X loads a page at a time as you scroll. There is no jump to the end.

For anything beyond browsing, add columns.
The Futurepost extension shows last post date, follower count and mutual status, and lets you sort and filter on all three.
Worth knowing
The ordering catches people out. Newest first means the accounts you added last week sit at the top and the ones you followed in 2019 sit at the bottom. The old ones are usually the ones worth reviewing, and they are the hardest to reach.
There is no search inside your own following list. The box at the top of X searches all of X, not your list, which surprises almost everyone the first time they try it.

What order is the X following list in?
Most recently followed first, and the order cannot be changed in the app.
Can I export my following list?
Not from the interface. Your X data archive includes it, though it arrives as a data file rather than something readable at a glance.
